ID CRISIS

At some point in our lives
We must ask the question
Who am I?
The big thing about this is not the question itself
But the fact that, unlike other questions,
There are just so many, ready answers
The problem of identity crisis arises for this reason
Without asking, your parents, your experiences,
Your failures and successes, your up days and down days
Your friends and haters
Your affairs and relationships
Your this and that
Create an identity that's either true or false
I find however, there is only one that tells
The reality of my identity
Irrespective of where I've been
And is unafraid that I might get high-handed
It's the Word of His Grace that tells me WHO I AM
I AM WHO GOD SAYS I AM
